Free QR code generator
Make a QR code for a link, WiFi network, contact card or plain text, with your colours and logo. It is made in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
Your QR code appears here as you type.

How to make a QR code
- Pick what to encode: a link, plain text, a WiFi network, or a contact card. The fields change to match.
- Enter your details. The preview updates as you type, and each code is read back on your device to check that it scans.
- Style it: dots or diamonds, round corner squares, a gradient, a photo blended into the code, a logo in the centre. Then download a PNG for the web, or an SVG that stays sharp at any print size.
QR code types explained
Each type encodes a specific string that a phone camera knows how to act on. Here is exactly what goes into the square.
WiFi
Encodes your network name (SSID), password, and security type (WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP, or none), plus a flag for hidden networks. A guest points their camera at it and joins without typing the password.
vCard (contact card)
A scannable digital business card holding a name, organisation, phone, email and website, using the vCard 3.0 format. A few older scanners do not follow the standard fully and can map a field to the wrong place, so check the saved contact once.
Link (URL)
The link is baked in verbatim, so a scan opens exactly the address you entered. The device needs an internet connection to load the page.
Plain text
Any text at all: a note, a serial number, a short message. The scanner simply shows it; no internet is needed to read it.
These are static QR codes
This tool makes static QR codes. The data is baked into the image itself, which means two honest things:
- The code cannot be edited after you print it. To change where it points, you generate and print a new one.
- There is no scan tracking and no analytics. A static code has no redirect server to count scans, so we cannot tell you how many people used it, and nothing about a scan reaches us.
If you genuinely need to edit a code after printing or count scans, that requires a dynamic-code service, which routes every scan through a tracking redirect. This tool is not that, by design.
A WiFi QR code for guests
Printing a WiFi QR code lets visitors join your network by pointing a camera at it, with no password typed out loud or written on a whiteboard. Choose the security type your router uses (most are WPA2 or WPA3) and tick “hidden network” only if your SSID is not broadcast.
A vCard QR code as a business card
A vCard QR code turns your contact details into one scannable square you can add to a card, an email signature, or a conference badge. One scan offers to save your name, number, email and website straight into the phone’s contacts.
Keep it to the essentials for a denser, easier-to-scan code, and test the saved contact on both an iPhone and an Android phone before you print a batch.
PNG or SVG, and error correction
Download SVG for anything printed or resized: it is vector, so it stays crisp at any size. Download PNG for quick use on the web or in a document that expects an image file.
Error correction (L, M, Q, H) controls how much of the code can be damaged or covered while it still scans; higher levels add redundancy at the cost of a denser pattern. When you add a logo, the tool raises it to H (30%) for you, and keeps the logo small enough that the code still reads. Keep a clear margin around the whole code when you print it.
Privacy
Everything here runs in your browser. A WiFi password or a contact card is sensitive, and with in-browser generation it never travels to a server; the code is drawn on your own device and only the file you download leaves it.
