Make a QR code with your logo

Put your logo in the centre of a QR code that still scans. Type the link, add the logo, and the code is checked on your device before you download it.

Your QR code appears here as you type.

How to put a logo in a QR code

  1. Type the link. Enter the web address the code should open. Text, WiFi and contact codes take a logo too.
  2. Add your logo. The logo control sits right under the link. Choose a PNG, JPG or WebP file, then pick Small, Medium or Large.
  3. Read the scan check. Each change is read back on your device. If the check warns you, choose a smaller logo or a shorter link.
  4. Download. SVG for print, PNG for screens and documents. The logo is in both.

Why the code still scans with a logo on it

Every QR code carries spare data so a phone can read it even when part of it is dirty or covered. The amount is set by the error correction level. As soon as you add a logo, the tool switches to the highest level, which can rebuild about 30% of the code, and keeps the logo well inside that. The logo sits on a small pad in the background colour, so its edges do not blur into the modules around it.

Logo sizeWidth of the codeShare of the code covered
Small15%about 2%
Medium20%4%
Large25%about 6%

Widths include the pad around the logo. Higher error correction also adds modules, so a code with a logo looks a little denser than the same link without one.

Choosing a logo that works small

  • Use your symbol, not the full name. At a quarter of a business-card code, small lettering is unreadable.
  • A square or round mark fills the centre best. A long, thin logo ends up tiny once it fits the box.
  • A PNG with a transparent background blends into the pad. A JPG brings its own background rectangle with it.
  • Keep the code dark on a light background. Some phone cameras cannot read a light code on a dark background.

The full tool

This page opens QR code generator with the logo control moved to the top. Every other option is still there, so you can change your mind without leaving.

  • WiFi QR code: A QR code that joins your WiFi network when scanned.

Common questions

Will a logo stop my QR code from scanning?
Not at these sizes. The tool raises error correction to its highest level and caps the logo at a quarter of the code's width. It also reads every result back on your device and warns you if a code may not scan. Test a printed copy with your phone before printing many.
What size should the logo be?
Start with Medium, a fifth of the code's width. Choose Large only for a short link and a simple logo, and Small if the scan check warns you.
Can I use a logo with a transparent background?
Yes. A transparent PNG or WebP shows the pad colour behind it, which matches the code's background.
Is the logo included in the SVG?
Yes. Both the PNG and the SVG have the logo in the centre, so the SVG still prints sharp at any size.
Can I put a photo in the QR code instead of a logo?
A photo in the centre would be too small to see. Try Photo blend instead, which colours the whole code from a photo while keeping it scannable.
Does a QR code with a logo expire?
No. It is a static code: the link is stored in the pattern itself, so it works as long as the web page does.
Is my logo uploaded?
No. The code and the logo are put together in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
