How to edit a PDF
- Open your PDF. Drop it above or choose it from your device. The first page opens large, ready to work on.
- Pick a tool and press on the page. Text, Sign and Image place something at once; Highlight, Whiteout, Draw, Box and Line follow your drag. Select anything you placed to move it, resize it or change its colour.
- Fill the form and arrange the pages. If the PDF has fillable fields, type straight into them. Use the page list beside the editor to reorder, rotate or remove pages.
- Download. Your copy is rebuilt as you work, so the download is ready the moment you are. Undo and redo cover every step.
What you can add
- Text
- Click where it should go and type. Pick the size, a sans, serif or mono face, bold, and the colour. Long lines wrap inside the box you set.
- Signature
- Draw it with a mouse, finger or pen, or type your name in a handwriting style. It is placed as a picture you can move and resize.
- Images and logos
- Add a JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF. Transparent PNG logos keep their transparency, and phone photos stay the right way up.
- Highlight
- A translucent marker that multiplies over the page, so the words under it stay readable when printed.
- Box, line and freehand
- Circle a total, underline a clause or sketch an arrow, in four ink colours and four thicknesses.
- Whiteout
- Paints an opaque white box over part of the page so it no longer shows when the page is viewed or printed.
What this editor does not do
Everything you add sits on top of the existing pages. The editor does not re-flow, retype or change text that is already in the PDF. To replace a word, cover it with whiteout and type the new word in a text box over it.
Whiteout hides content visually; it does not delete it. The covered text is still in the file and can be found by search or copied out. For anything confidential, such as an account number, a whiteout is not a secure redaction.
A drawn or typed signature is a picture of your signature. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, and it does not make a document certified or legally accepted anywhere on its own.
Text boxes use the PDF standard fonts (Helvetica, Times and Courier), which cover Latin letters, numbers and common symbols. Text in other scripts is drawn into the file as a picture of the same box, so it shows correctly but cannot be selected or searched. Form fields keep the PDF's own font, so they accept Latin text only.
It runs in your browser
The PDF is opened, drawn and rebuilt on your device with open-source code. It is never uploaded to a server, which matters for contracts, forms with personal details and anything you would not send to a stranger. There is no account, no watermark on your file and no page limit beyond what your device's memory can hold.
