How to extract pages from a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF onto the box, or click Choose file. Every page appears as a preview, drawn on your device.

  2. Click each page you want in the new file; a check marks it. Click it again to drop it. Shift-click picks a run of pages, and All, Odd and Even pick in one tap.

  3. The bar under the pages shows the count, for example 40 pages to 3 pages. The pages keep their original order.

  4. Select Download PDF. Your original file is not changed; the extracted pages are a new PDF.

Extract pages, delete pages or split?

Three tools cut a PDF down. The difference is which pages you point at and how many files come out.

  • Extract pages (this tool)

You click the pages to keep, and they become one new PDF. Best for pulling a few pages out of a long document: a signed page from a contract, one chapter, one statement month.

  • Delete pages

You click the pages to remove, and the rest stays. Best when most of the file is worth keeping. Use Delete PDF pages.

  • Split

The document is cut into several files, by page, by size or by ranges. Use Split PDF.

How it works, and why there is no upload

A PDF engine runs inside this browser tab. It reads your file from your disk, copies the pages you picked into a new PDF and hands that file to your downloads, all on your own device. Your document never travels across the network and is never stored on a server.

The pages are copied as they are, not redrawn, so text stays selectable and searchable and images keep their original quality. Once the page has loaded, it also works with your connection switched off.

Typing page numbers

For a long document it can be quicker to type. The optional field beside the pages takes numbers and ranges such as 2, 4-6 (pages 2, 4, 5 and 6) and stays in step with what you click. The first page is page 1, and a page the file does not have is pointed out instead of ignored.

Common questions

Does extracting pages upload my PDF?
No. The pages are copied inside your browser; the file never leaves your device and is never stored on a server.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in and no sign-up, and the download has no watermark.
Can I extract pages that are not next to each other?
Yes. Click each page you want, wherever it is in the file, or type them, like 1, 5, 9-11. They all go into one new PDF.
What order are the extracted pages in?
The order they have in the original document, whatever order you click them in. To change the order, extract them and then use Organize PDF pages.
Do the extracted pages lose quality?
No. Pages are copied without being redrawn or re-compressed, so text, images and vector drawings are exactly as they were.
Can I extract pages from a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you know its password. Enter it when asked; it is checked on your device and the extracted PDF has no password.
Can I save each page as its own file?
This tool makes one PDF from the pages you pick. To get one file per page, use Split PDF.
Is there a file-size limit?
There is no fixed limit. Because everything runs on your device, the practical ceiling is your device's memory rather than a server quota.
