How to delete pages from a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF onto the box above, or click to pick it. Every page appears as a preview, drawn on your device.

  2. Click each page you want gone. It fades and is marked Removed; click it again to keep it. Shift-click marks a run of pages.

  3. Check the count under the pages, for example 12 pages to 9 pages. Every page you did not mark stays, in its original order.

  4. Select Download PDF. Your original file is never changed; the trimmed copy is a new file.

Delete pages, or keep a selection?

These are opposite jobs, and picking the wrong one is the usual way people lose the pages they meant to keep.

  • Delete pages (this tool)

You name the pages to remove, and everything else survives. Best when most of the document is worth keeping and only a few pages have to go.

  • Extract or split pages

You name the pages to keep, and they become a new file. Best when you want a handful of pages out of a long document. Use Extract PDF pages for that, or Split PDF to cut it into several files.

How it works, and why there is no upload

Most “online” PDF editors send your file to a server, edit it there, and send a result back. This one does not. A PDF engine runs inside your browser tab: it reads the file from your disk, drops the pages you named, and writes the remaining pages to a new PDF, all on your own device.

Because there is no upload step, your document never travels across the network and is never stored on a server. The surviving pages are copied as-is, without re-encoding, so their text and images keep their original quality. Once the page has loaded, it even works with your connection switched off.

Prefer to type page numbers?

Long documents can be quicker by number. The optional field beside the pages takes the same marks in writing, and it stays in step with what you click.

  • Single pages and ranges. A spec like 2,4-6 removes pages 2, 4, 5 and 6. Ranges are inclusive and must read low-to-high (4-6, not 6-4).
  • One-indexed. The first page is page 1. Spaces around numbers are ignored, so 2, 4 - 6 works too.
  • Out-of-range is caught.Asking to remove a page the document doesn’t have shows a short note and leaves your marks as they were.
  • The last page is protected. A PDF must keep at least one page, so Download stays off while every page is marked.

Common questions

Does deleting pages upload my PDF?
No. The removal runs inside your browser; the file never leaves your device and is never stored on a server.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in and no sign-up, unlike some editors that make you create an account before you can download the result.
How do I delete several pages at once?
Click each page you want gone, or click one and shift-click another to mark every page in between. You can also type them, like 2, 4-6, or tap Odd or Even.
How do I delete a single page?
Click that page so it shows Removed, then select Download PDF.
What is the difference between deleting pages and extracting pages?
Deleting removes the pages you pick and keeps the rest. Extracting keeps the pages you pick and drops the rest into a new file. To extract, use Extract PDF pages instead.
Can I remove blank pages?
Yes. Blank pages are easy to spot in the previews; click them to remove them. There is no automatic blank-page detection, so nothing is dropped without you choosing it.
Will removing pages change the quality of the remaining pages?
No. The surviving pages are copied without re-encoding, so their text and images are byte-for-byte what they were.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has finished loading you can switch your connection off and still remove pages, because the work happens on your device.
Is there a file-size limit?
There is no fixed limit. Because everything runs locally, the practical ceiling is your device's available memory rather than a server quota.
Is it safe for confidential documents?
Your file stays on your device, with no upload and no sign-in, so it is well suited to sensitive documents. For the most sensitive files, a fully offline desktop app remains the most verifiable option.
Can I undo a deletion?
Your original file on disk is never modified; the tool writes a separate trimmed PDF. Before you download, click a removed page again to keep it.
