Merge PDF files in your browser

Combine PDFs and images into one PDF, in the order you choose. Nothing is uploaded; the whole merge runs on your device.

Drop PDFs and images here, or click to choose

Add two or more PDFs or pictures. You can put them in order next.

Need to write on the pages too? The PDF editor adds text, signatures and highlights.

How to merge PDFs

  1. Drop your PDF files and images in, or choose them from your device.
  2. Drag the files into the order you want; each card shows the page it becomes.
  3. Click a card to rotate it or change its page size, or remove a file you added by mistake.
  4. Check the page total under the files. The merge updates on your device as you reorder.
  5. Download the single merged PDF.

How it works

The merge runs in your browser with a PDF library that executes entirely on your device; no server does the work. Your files are read into memory, their pages are copied into one new document in the order you set, and the combined file is written back out as a download.

There is no upload step anywhere in that flow. The page never sends your file bytes, their names, or any part of their contents to us or anyone else. That is the difference this tool is built around: you merge without uploading, the work is fast with no round trip, and it keeps running after the page has loaded even with your connection switched off.

When a desktop app is still better

For highly confidential documents, a fully offline desktop tool is the most verifiable option: you can confirm it has no network access at all. An in-browser tool is the next best thing (it keeps your files local), but the most cautious choice for sensitive files remains software that cannot reach the network even in principle.

What merging does and does not change

Merging copies pages as they are. Text and images keep their original quality because nothing is re-encoded, and each page keeps its own size unless you choose a new one, so a combined file can mix page sizes and orientations freely. Images are embedded as they are (JPG and PNG) or as lossless PNG (other formats).

Fillable form fields come along and stay fillable, and links between pages keep working. Each file gets a bookmark with its name, with its own bookmarks under it. The merged file’s size is roughly the sum of the inputs.

Common questions

Does merging upload my files anywhere?
No. The merge runs in your browser: your files are read and combined on your device and never sent to a server. You can watch this yourself by turning off your network after the page loads; the merge still works.
How do I merge two PDF files into one?
Add both files and drag them into the order you want. The merged file is ready as soon as the order is set, with its page count shown under the files; click Download.
Can I change the order before merging?
Yes. Drag a file to a new place, or use the arrows on its card or the arrow keys. The order of the cards is the order of the pages in the output. Remove a file with its cross, or add more by dropping them in.
Will merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. Pages are copied as-is without re-encoding, so text and images keep their original quality. This is the main reason an in-browser merge can beat a re-compressing one.
Is there a file size or file count limit?
There is no fixed limit. The practical ceiling is your device's memory, because everything runs locally; very large files use more RAM than small ones.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the network and still merge; nothing in the flow needs the internet.
Do I need to sign up or install anything?
No account and no install. It is a web page that runs the tool in your browser.
Is it safe to merge confidential PDFs here?
It is safer than tools that upload, because your files never leave the device. For the most sensitive documents, a fully offline desktop app is still the most verifiable choice, because you can confirm it makes no network calls at all.
What happens to form fields, links and bookmarks when I merge?
Fillable form fields stay fillable and keep their values. If the same form is merged twice, the second copy's fields get a number added (name_2) so both can be filled separately. Links between pages of a file keep working. Pages you put on a new page size keep their fields and links too. Bookmarks come along as well: each file gets a bookmark with its name, and its own bookmarks sit under it.
Can I merge PDFs of different page sizes?
Yes. Each page keeps its own size, so the combined file can contain a mix of page sizes and orientations. To make them match, click a file and choose a page size such as A4: its pages are scaled whole onto the new size.
Can I merge images and PDFs together?
Yes. Add JPG, PNG, WebP or other pictures to the same list as your PDFs and drag them into place. Each image becomes one page, sized to match your first PDF by default; click an image to choose another page size, orientation, margin or rotation.
Can I rotate or resize just one file?
Yes. Click its card to give it its own settings: turn all of a PDF's pages, put them on a new page size, or set an image's page. Hold Cmd or Ctrl to pick several, and use Apply to all to make one file's settings the default.
